Louvred Pergolas
A louvred pergola has a roof made of aluminium blades — louvres — that pivot from flat-open to fully closed. Open, they filter light and let air move through; closed, they form a sealed roof that keeps rain off, with the water channelled away through drainage integrated into the beams and posts.

The louvre blades span the roof and rotate together on a motorised mechanism. Because they're powder-coated aluminium rather than timber, they don't warp, rot or need re-coating, and the frame carries a concealed drainage system that takes rainwater from the closed louvres down through the hollow posts.
