Our Help Hub has dedicated, step-by-step guides for measuring every window type and fitting your shutters yourself.
Ordering & Collection
Included: your made-to-measure shutter panels and frames, fixings, and our step-by-step self-fitment guide.
Not included: measuring, installation and delivery. Shutter Pros is supply-only — you measure your own windows, we manufacture to your exact measurements, and you collect your finished shutters from us and fit them yourself.
Supply-only is why our prices are what they are — and our Help Hub walks you through measuring and fitting step by step.
We confirm your production lead time when you place your order, and we contact you to arrange collection as soon as your shutters have arrived and passed our inspection.
Every order is collected from us in Retford, Nottinghamshire, by arranged appointment. When your shutters arrive from the factory we inspect and photograph them before we confirm your collection appointment, so you know exactly what you're picking up. There is no delivery service — collection keeps the price down and means your order is handed over checked, complete and ready to fit.

We offer three louvre blade profiles:
Suits cottage-style windows, period properties, and rooms where a fine-grained traditional look is preferred.
Our most popular size. Balances light flow, privacy, and visual proportion across the widest range of window types.
Wider blades for larger windows and contemporary interiors where bold proportions are the goal.

Traditional Central Tilt-Rod: A vertical rod runs centrally down the face of the panel, connecting all louvre blades. Classic shutter look — clean, mechanical, and timeless.
Hidden Tilt / Clearview: The mechanism is concealed inside the frame. No visible rod. Our most popular choice for modern homes.
Both systems are equally robust. The choice is entirely aesthetic.
L-Frame and Z-Frame — inside and outside mount configurations
L-Frame (Inside or Outside Mount): An L-shaped structural frame that sits flush against the window reveal or wall face. Inside-mount fits neatly within the recess for a built-in appearance.
Z-Frame (Inside or Outside Mount): A stepped Z-profile that bridges a reveal or architrave. Particularly useful where the recess is deep enough to conceal the hinge side.

Our hardwood ranges use premium lightweight hardwoods chosen for their exceptional strength-to-weight ratio — lighter panels place significantly less stress on hinges and frames, preventing louvre-drop and sag over time.
Our composite shutters use a durable ABS exterior coating bonded over an internal reinforced, moisture-resistant structural composite core. Designed for bathrooms, kitchens and high-humidity areas — dimensionally stable and resistant to warping, cracking or discolouration.
